AYAZ HUSSAIN FROM AYLESBURY SENTENCED AFTER CRUELTY TO DOG BLAZE

Ayaz Hussain, a resident of Keats Close in Aylesbury, has been convicted of animal cruelty following a disturbing incident involving his pet dog, Blaze. Born on December 18, 1994, Hussain was caught on video inflicting pain on his crossbreed dog by using a heavy metal chain lead to lash at him. The footage, which surfaced publicly, prompted immediate action from animal welfare authorities and led to a court case that resulted in a conviction.

On July 23, authorities from the RSPCA visited Hussain’s address after receiving the video evidence. The footage depicted Hussain angrily sending Blaze into the hallway of his flat, where he then struck the dog with the metal chain lead with considerable force. The dog was seen barking and crying out in distress, clearly suffering from the assault. The investigation revealed that Blaze had been left alone in the flat while the occupants were out, during which he allegedly caused some damage. This incident appeared to have provoked Hussain’s violent response, according to reports.

Gina Stallon, an inspector with the RSPCA who led the investigation, expressed her disapproval of Hussain’s actions. She stated, “We visited Hussain’s address on 23 July after video footage was passed to us showing him lashing his dog with a heavy metal chain lead, causing the dog to bark and cry out in pain. We understand Blaze had been left in the flat while the occupants were out and had, allegedly, caused some damage, angering Hussain and prompting his violent outburst.”

Inspector Stallon emphasized that such violence towards animals is unacceptable under any circumstances. She added, “In the video, Hussain is seen sending Blaze out into the hall where he then whips him hard across the back with the chain lead, causing him to bark out in pain. It is never acceptable to react so violently towards a dog, whether they’ve done something wrong or not, and it certainly isn’t acceptable to deliberately attack an animal in this way.”

Following the investigation, Blaze was seized by police and has been in the care of the RSPCA for the past five months. Fortunately, the dog has shown resilience and is currently doing well in kennels. He is expected to be ready for rehoming soon, offering him a fresh start with loving new owners who will treat him with the kindness and compassion he deserves.

Inspector Stallon expressed gratitude to the anonymous witness who filmed the incident and bravely came forward. She said, “I’d like to thank the witness who filmed this footage and had the bravery to come forward and pass it to us, without him we wouldn’t have been able to take this action. Thankfully Blaze didn’t suffer any serious, long-term injuries as a result of this beating and he seems to be a happy dog who we’re sure will find a wonderful new home. After all, that’s what it’s all about. It’ll be great to know that 2021 marks a new start for Blaze and that he’ll be with loving new owners who show him the compassion, affection and kindness he so deserves.”

In court, Hussain was sentenced to 40 hours of unpaid work and a 20-day rehabilitation requirement. He was also ordered to pay £495 in costs and charges. Additionally, he received a three-year ban from owning dogs. The court’s decision came after the court found sufficient evidence of his cruelty, leading to Blaze’s removal from his ownership and placement in the care of the RSPCA. This case highlights the ongoing efforts of animal welfare organizations to combat cruelty and ensure that animals are protected from such abuse.
