February 2023 Pervert who told ‘girl’ he has a ‘little willy’ breaches court order A paedophile who previously told a ‘girl’ he has a ‘little willy’ is back before the court for breaching an order by having a Facebook account under a fake name. Last September, Terry Yates walked free from court despite engaging in sex chats with someone who he believed was a 14-year-old girl. Married man Yates sent messages calling the teen his ‘gorgeous princess’ and asking her to look at his ‘little willy’. He also asked her to send him a video of herself ‘giggling’ and asked for photographs of her in her school uniform, a previous court hearing heard. But the whole time, Yates, of Whitworth Close, Birchwood, was actually talking to an account operated by a paedophile hunter group. He was consulted by members of the group at his home on July 2 last year. Police were called to the scene and he was arrested and charged with attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child. At Yates’ sentencing in September, where he received a suspended sentence and was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order and sex offender registration requirements for 10 years, it was heard how he had ‘demonstrated a clear acceptance of wrong, remorse and insight into the consequences of his offending’. But less than three months later, he has already failed to comply with the notification requirements of the order. Court documents state that on December 13, 2022, the 40-year-old failed to register an alias name he had used on Facebook. Not only does this mean he failed to comply with the order, but it means he breached the requirements of his suspended sentence. Yates appeared before Liverpool Crown Court last Friday for an application hearing where his sexual harm prevention order was ‘varied’.
