Terrence Reason Domestic Abuser in Basildon

Terrence Reason, aged 28 and from the Kursaal area of Southend, was a person of interest sought by Essex Police in November concerning an alleged domestic violence case.

The police department shared his mugshot on their Facebook page, stating: “We are appealing for information to locate a man from Southend we want to speak to regarding an assault.” The post detailed his physical appearance, noting that he was of “medium build with short dark brown hair, stubble, and blue eyes.” Shortly after, Reason accessed his own Facebook account and commented beneath the post: “I am pleasant lol.” When others mocked his height of 5’7”, he responded: “Y u talking like dat u don’t even know me.” Later, he added: “I’m bored now catch me, let’s play.” Another Facebook user remarked: “Well Essex Police he’s on your page so why not talk to him,” to which Reason replied: “Thanks for da help babe they are ignorant.” Reason, who reports his education as “Prison School,” was arrested last month on suspicion of robbing someone in Southend in November.

During a court appearance at Southend Magistrates’ Court, prosecutor Ian Allen stated: “The defendant was wanted by police over an alleged domestic violence incident.” He added: “He posted comments on their Facebook page saying: ‘Come and get me.’” Reason has been held on remand and later appeared at Basildon Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to robbery.

His sentencing, alongside a co-defendant, is scheduled for March 15.

An Essex Police spokesperson declined to comment.
