BASILDON PAEDOPHILE NIRAV VAJA JAILED FOR TOILETS VOYEURISM
A known pedophile voyeur concealed cameras within his workplace restrooms and shared disturbing sexual fantasies involving children and dismembered bodies, a court in South Essex has been told.Nirav Vaja, aged 21 and residing on School Avenue in Basildon, was sentenced to prison on Thursday (June 4) after authorities found him in possession of a large collection of child sexual abuse images, including videos depicting the assault of a baby.
During the sentencing hearing yesterday, the court was presented with a series of grotesque messages he had sent to other offenders within an online group chat.
Despite being found with the abusive material, Vaja continued to download more images and was later exposed for publicly masturbating inside the shop where he was employed.
He admitted guilt in February to charges including voyeurism, outraging public decency, and producing and sharing indecent images of children.
The court was told that the defendant, described as “isolated,” had become immersed in a dark sector of the internet and felt compelled to keep sharing increasingly disturbing fantasies and images to gain acceptance.
Following his arrest and release on bail for the possession of indecent images, he persisted in downloading more material and also began offending offline.
He started concealing his phone in the toilets of the One Beyond store in Romford, where he worked, to secretly record other people.
He also masturbated behind the shop counter.
Vaja confided in other online offenders that, in addition to his public masturbation, he wanted to “rape someone,” and shared twisted fantasies involving sexual acts with deceased bodies.
At the time of his initial arrest, police found over 400 illegal images and videos on five separate devices, including 145 classified as Category A, showing penetrative or sadistic abuse of children.
He also possessed 63 images at Category B, 60 at Category C, along with 174 illegal images of children and 21 extreme pornographic videos.
Prosecutor Mark Tomassi told Vaja’s sentencing hearing at Southend Crown Court, “This chat involvement spans several months.
The defendant has been sending videos to someone using the name Harry, with some of the extreme material involving sexual acts between humans and animals.
During the chat, he expressed his attraction to such images, particularly those involving sexual activity with babies and, disturbingly, dismembered or deceased bodies.
Some of these images are so grotesque and appalling that the court must pause to reflect.”
