TARRON CRUTCHER AND SOUTHAMPTON: MAN NAKED IN FRONT OF CHILDREN REFUSED CITY CENTRE BANNING ORDER
In September 2017, magistrates in Southampton declined to impose a city centre banning order on Tarron Crutcher after he publicly stripped naked in front of children, believing he had 'bugs in his clothes'.
Crutcher, a resident of Millbrook Road West, appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to contest a potential criminal behaviour order related to his previous conviction.
Crutcher was convicted of indecent exposure in July, having exposed himself on three separate occasions in public, specifically in front of children.
Following that conviction, magistrates sentenced him to a six-month suspended jail term and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £115 as well as £50 in court costs.
During the hearing on Tuesday, prosecutors had sought to prevent Crutcher from entering the city centre with a banning order.
However, the magistrates praised the 27-year-old for his improved conduct and progress in his drug rehabilitation treatment.
The bench ultimately decided not to impose the banning order, acknowledging his recent positive changes.
