November 2018: Now living in Diss Update: Now goes by the name of Stuart Hammond. Lives in Lowestoft January 2006 Teenager found guilty A jury at Ipswich Crown Court has found a Newmarket teenager guilty of raping a four-year-old-boy. Stuart Wade (18) was convicted on Wednesday after he had denied two charges of orally raping a child under 13 in July last year. The incident happened at a house in Newmarket the court was told. The jury of seven women and five men were told to consider just one of the charges and discharged from delivering a verdict on the second. This was decided by trial judge John Devaux following the victim’s evidence. The judge said the allegations should be treated as a continuous act. The jury took less than an hour and a half to find Wade guilty on the remaining charge. After the verdict was announced the judge adjourned sentencing to March 6 for a psychiatric report on Wade and a report from the probation service. He told the jury “The court has to look very closely at the danger he represents – not just to children.” Wade was further remanded in custody to the sentencing date, and he was required to sign the sex offenders’ register. The judge said the length of time he would remain on the register would be decided at the sentencing hearing. During the trial Lindsay Cox, prosecuting, had told the court how the victim’s mother had been stunned when he told her that Wade had “learned ” him to do the act described in the allegation.
