A Stevenston man who threw a mop and called two women "b******" is "not stupid", according to his solicitor.Stephen Mills, 42, appeared from custody for sentencing at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, August 13 after pleading guilty to one charge.

He also admitted throwing a mop, repeatedly demanding alcohol, and repeatedly uttering threats and offensive comments towards his ex-partner.
The court heard how Mills, of Donaldson Avenue, was in his address with another woman when he began to shout, swear and get aggressive around 7pm.
An second woman arrived to help but Mills continued shouting, pulling pictures off the wall and pulling a handrail from the bathroom.
He also threw a mop and damaged a kitchen unit, then asked for alcohol, which was provided to calm him.
He called the two women "b******" and made threats against his ex-partner who was not present.
The women called police and Mills was arrested and cautioned.
His solicitor said Mills had previously been employed as a fabricator and welder but developed an alcohol problem and was unemployed.
He had been released from a previous sentence days before the incident.
The court sentenced Mills to 12 months of supervision, an alcohol treatment requirement, and 120 hours of unpaid work.
