Barbara Jenkins, a resident of Stevenston, has been found guilty of neglecting her pet cat, leading to its suffering and eventual death.

Jenkins, born around 1981 and residing at 79 Lundholm Road, Stevenston KA20 3LJ, was convicted in 2022 for failing to seek necessary medical treatment for her ailing feline.

According to court records, Jenkins admitted to causing unnecessary pain and suffering to her cat through neglect over a period spanning from January 5, 2020, to January 5, 2021.

The cat was in a dire state, exhibiting severe health issues such as significant weight loss and muscle wasting, which are clear indicators of prolonged neglect and poor care.
