STEPHEN BRICE FACES JAIL AFTER SEX ATTACKS IN FAREHAM AND HOLLYWOOD

In a case that has shocked the local community, 82-year-old Stephen Brice, a resident of St James Way in Fareham, Hampshire, has been found guilty of multiple serious sexual offenses involving a young girl. The crimes, which span several years, include four counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, three counts of indecency with a child, and three counts of indecent assault.

The incidents took place over a period from 2000 to 2005, during which Brice visited the Hollywood area, where the young victim, a girl aged between six and eleven, was subjected to these heinous acts. The court heard that some of these offenses occurred in private settings, including inside a car, while others took place at a viewpoint overlooking Portsmouth, adding a disturbing geographical element to the case.

Prosecutor Tariq Shakoor detailed the gravity of the situation, emphasizing the vulnerability of the young girl and the repeated nature of the offenses. The case was brought before Worcester Crown Court, where the jury convicted Brice of all charges.

Despite the severity of the allegations, Judge John Cavell granted Brice bail while a pre-sentence report is prepared, a decision that has raised concerns among community members and advocacy groups. As part of his legal obligations, Brice is now required to sign the sex offenders’ register immediately, ensuring that authorities are aware of his status and can monitor his activities moving forward.
