WARMINSTER MAN SIMON MASTERS ADMITS TO CHILD SEX ABUSE MATERIAL AND ANIMAL CRUELTY IN COURT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Warminster, Simon Masters, aged 33, has pleaded guilty to possessing a large collection of illegal and highly disturbing images and videos involving children and animals. The proceedings took place at Swindon Crown Court, where Masters appeared dressed in a smart dark blue suit and a white shirt, with a beard, and spoke only to confirm his identity and his guilty pleas.According to the charges, Masters was found to have created and stored a total of 306 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse. Among these, 48 were classified as the most severe category, which includes explicit depictions of children being raped. The nature of these images indicates a deeply troubling level of exploitation and abuse, and their possession is considered a grave criminal offense.
In addition to the child abuse material, Masters also admitted to possessing a four-minute video titled “Pre-teen Toy Story.” The prosecution described this video as a paedophile’s manual, intended to serve as a guide for sexual abuse involving children. The content was reportedly designed to instruct viewers on how to engage in sexual activities with minors, further highlighting the malicious intent behind the material.
Furthermore, Masters faced charges related to the possession of 17 extreme pornographic images that depicted sexual assaults on animals. These images are considered particularly heinous and are subject to strict legal prohibitions due to their violent and abusive nature.
The criminal activity spanned a period of approximately three years, from August 2015 to April 2018, during which Masters accumulated and maintained this disturbing collection of illicit material. The case has raised serious concerns about the safety of children and animals, and the community awaits the upcoming sentencing, scheduled for Tuesday, November 19. Judge Jason Taylor QC ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service, emphasizing the severity of the charges and indicating that custody is likely, given the gravity of the offenses. The judge also made it clear that the final sentence will depend on the detailed assessment of Masters’ circumstances and the nature of his crimes.
