SCOTT CHAPMAN SENTENCED IN SOUTHAMPTON FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING MINOR
Scott Chapman met the girl through a social networking site and went to his uncle’s residence, where they stayed overnight and engaged in sexual activity.
Prosecutor Andy Houston told Southampton Crown Court that Chapman then took her by taxi to her foster mother’s home.
The girl, who had been reported missing, told police she needed a morning-after pill.
She had posted on the social network that she was 17, but when she met Chapman, she claimed she was 15.
In reality, she was only 12 years old.
Chapman, 18, of Manor Farm Road, Bitterne Park, Southampton, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape of a girl under 13 and one count of assault by penetration.
Judge Derwin Hope also ordered Chapman, who had five previous convictions, to be on the sex offenders register for ten years.
