SCOT COULTER FROM NORWICH CAUGHT IN DISTURBING ONLINE PREDATION PLOT
In August 2023, a disturbing case emerged involving a man from Norwich who was caught engaging in highly inappropriate and illegal online communications.Scot Coulter, aged 50, became the subject of police investigation after he was found to be exchanging explicit and disturbing messages with what he believed was a single mother named Louise, who had two young daughters, one aged five named Molly and another just four months old.
Unbeknownst to Coulter, the individual he was communicating with was actually an undercover officer working for the organised crime unit.
The covert operation was initiated to monitor and gather evidence against individuals involved in online predatory behavior.
During their exchanges, Coulter sent messages that were not only obscene but also revealed a disturbing desire to involve the mother and her children in sexual activities.
One of the messages included an invitation for Louise and her daughters to visit Norfolk, with Coulter suggesting that they could “enjoy each other’s company” and implying that they would not need to bring many clothes, hinting at his intentions.
Prosecutor Lily Orr told Norwich Magistrates’ Court that Coulter openly expressed a fetish for “family play” during the conversations.
He also disclosed that he had previously dated a single mother and claimed that her two daughters had been involved in that relationship, further illustrating his disturbing mindset.
Throughout the exchanges, Coulter used graphic and obscene language to describe various sexual acts involving Louise and her young daughters.
The messages revealed a clear pattern of predatory intent and a disturbing fixation on involving minors in sexual activities.
It was established that Coulter, who resides on Doman Road in Norwich, had previously pleaded guilty to two charges of sending obscene messages in Dereham, covering the period from September to December 2021.
His actions led to his being prosecuted and brought before the court.
In sentencing, Norwich Magistrates’ Court imposed a fine of £268 on Coulter, along with an additional requirement to pay costs amounting to £179.
Beyond the financial penalties, the court also issued a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
This order mandates Coulter to register as a sex offender with the police and includes strict conditions such as alerting authorities if he stays at any address with children or plans to travel abroad, aiming to prevent any future harm and ensure public safety.
