RYAN PHEASANT FROM MAIDENHEAD SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN RUISLIP AND MAIDENHEAD

In January 2017, a disturbing case involving Ryan Pheasant, a 32-year-old man from Maidenhead, culminated in his sentencing to eight and a half years in prison for serious sexual offenses. Pheasant was convicted of raping a teenage girl after a night of heavy drinking at a party, which took place in 2013. The court proceedings revealed harrowing details about the assault and the circumstances surrounding it.

According to court records, Pheasant had supplied alcohol, including vodka, to the underage girl during the gathering. The party was held at an unspecified location, but the events that followed led to a criminal conviction. The prosecution described how Pheasant followed the intoxicated teenager to a bedroom in the early hours of September 1, 2013, in Ruislip, after the girl had become visibly tired and woozy from the alcohol consumption. Witnesses at the party described Pheasant as “creepy” and noted his overly familiar and inappropriate behavior towards the young girl, including excessive touching, hugging, and kissing, which made other guests uncomfortable.

During the trial, the court heard that after the girl had fallen asleep on a bed, Pheasant entered the room. She was described as exhausted and disoriented when she was awakened by the sound of the bedroom door opening. The defendant was seen undoing his shorts and getting into bed with her. He then proceeded to kiss her, remove her bra and underwear, and commit the act of rape. After the assault, Pheasant allegedly asked her, “Do you hate me?” before leaving the room for a cigarette. He returned shortly afterward and raped her again while she was crying and unsure of what to do.

Medical evidence presented in court confirmed that the police doctor found signs of sexual intercourse and an unidentified semen stain on her blue velvet party dress. The teenage girl later provided a video statement to police, recorded ten days after the assault, describing her ordeal in detail.

Throughout the trial, Pheasant was acquitted of two additional counts of rape, but the court found sufficient evidence to convict him of the charges related to the incident in Ruislip. The judge sentenced him to a total of eight and a half years in prison, reflecting the severity of his actions and the impact on the young victim. The case highlights the dangers of alcohol-fueled environments and the importance of protecting minors from exploitation and assault, especially in social settings where boundaries are often blurred.
