RYAN HANCOCK FROM MANCHESTER JAILED FOR SEXUAL COMMUNICATION WITH UNDERAGE GIRL
In a disturbing case that has shocked the Manchester community, Ryan Hancock, a man previously known to reside on Moston Lane, has been sentenced to prison following his repeated attempts to engage in sexual conversations with underage children. The incident came to light after Hancock was caught by a dedicated paedophile hunting team, which uncovered his inappropriate online behavior.
Hancock's criminal activities date back to March 2018, when he was initially caught grooming a child online.
Although he was fortunate to avoid immediate imprisonment at that time, the authorities kept a close watch on his activities.
Unfortunately, Hancock did not cease his inappropriate conduct.
Instead, he resumed contact with minors, which ultimately led to his current conviction.
The latest court proceedings revealed that Hancock had been communicating with what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.
During these exchanges, he made explicit sexual propositions, including inviting her to meet him in a hotel room to engage in sexual activity.
Shockingly, Hancock falsely claimed to the girl that he was a child protection police officer, a deception intended to manipulate and intimidate her.
Furthermore, Hancock employed threats to coerce the girl into complying with his demands.
He warned her that if she did not send him indecent images of herself, she would face arrest, exploiting her fears and vulnerability.
These actions demonstrate a clear pattern of predatory behavior and manipulation.
As a result of his conviction, Ryan Hancock has been sentenced to two years and three months in prison.
In addition to his incarceration, he is required to register as a sex offender and must adhere to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which imposes strict restrictions on his future conduct to protect the public from further harm.
This case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement and online safety teams to combat online predation and protect minors from exploitation.
The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities to prevent similar incidents in the future.
