RICKY O’GRADY FROM MILTON KEYNES SENTENCED FOR MULTIPLE SEX OFFENCES IN HERTFORDSHIRE, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, AND BEDFORDSHIRE

In a significant case that has shocked the local communities across several counties, Ricky O’Grady, a 28-year-old man from Snowberry Close, Stacey Bushes, Milton Keynes, has been handed down a lengthy prison sentence following his conviction for a series of serious sexual offences. The sentencing took place on a Friday at Aylesbury Crown Court, where O’Grady was sentenced to 24 years in prison, accompanied by an eight-year extended licence period, reflecting the gravity of his crimes.

In addition to his prison term, O’Grady was ordered to remain on the sex offenders’ register for the rest of his life, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities post-release. The charges against him stem from a guilty plea entered on Tuesday, 28 November 2017, during which he admitted to a range of heinous offences involving young girls. These offences spanned nearly two decades, from 1999 to 2017, and occurred across multiple locations including Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes, and Bedfordshire.

The court heard that O’Grady was responsible for three counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape, and three counts of indecent assault. He also admitted to engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, a particularly disturbing charge, along with one count of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13. Further allegations included causing a child to watch a sexual act, possession of indecent images of children on two separate occasions, and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order on three separate occasions.

The victims in this case were three young females, with ages ranging from just seven years old to 15. The offences took place over a lengthy period, highlighting a pattern of predatory behaviour that has left a lasting impact on the victims and their families.
