REGGI SAID AND SHOCKING SEXUAL ASSAULTS AT SOUTHAMPTON NIGHTCLUBS AND APARTMENTS
The court heard harrowing details of a series of predatory and criminal acts committed by Reggi Said, a club promoter based in Southampton, involving disturbing allegations of sexual assault and drug abuse that date back over a decade. The case was brought to Southampton Crown Court, where the prosecution outlined a troubling pattern of behavior that spanned several years.
It was claimed that around the year 2000, Said met a young woman who was a dancer and invited her back to his flat.
During this encounter, she was left in a state of undress after engaging in sexual activity with another male visitor.
While Said left temporarily to the kitchen, she fell asleep but later awoke to find him on top of her, having allegedly engaged in sexual acts without her full consent.
Prosecutor Matthew Jewell described this incident as the first known assault by Said, although he pointed out that no charges were filed at that time.
Further allegations reveal that in 2005, Said was involved in another serious incident involving a different dancer, a woman he had known for several years.
The prosecution detailed how one evening, Said had picked her up in his car after she had consumed alcohol.
Believing she was returning to his flat, the woman apparently went along with him.
Upon arrival, she saw him preparing lines of cocaine.
The following morning, she woke up naked in his bed, with Said informing her that she had wanted to party and had taken two grams of cocaine.
During police interviews, Said claimed that in both of these earlier incidents, the sexual encounters had been consensual and did not involve intercourse—assertions the prosecution counters, highlighting the troubling nature of his behavior.
The court was also told about allegations from February of the previous year, which depict a further disturbing episode.
Said is accused of threatening two women at his flat, located in Southampton, unless they ingested cocaine.
It was reported that the women had consumed a substantial amount of alcohol, participated in a game of 'truth or dare,' and one of them had fallen asleep.
Subsequently, Said allegedly took the second woman into his room under the guise of discussing work-related matters.
Instead, he removed her underwear and engaged in sexual activity with her.
In a prepared statement presented during the trial, Said claimed that the women had voluntarily used drugs and that the sexual acts were consensual.
He expressed shock at the allegations, denying any wrongdoing.
Reggi Said, residing on Lower Banister Road in Southampton, faces multiple serious charges, including two counts of rape, two counts of supplying drugs, and one count of sexual assault.
He has denied all accusations, and the court continues to hear evidence in what is a deeply troubling case that highlights allegations of abuse spanning many years in Southampton.
