PATRYK ORLOWSKI AND SHOCKING ONLINE OFFENSES IN SOUTHAMPTON
A convicted sex offender, Patryk Orlowski, has found himself back in legal trouble after he was caught creating multiple online accounts on various dating and messaging platforms in Southampton.The circumstances surrounding his latest actions came to light during a court appearance at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on a Tuesday.
Patryk Orlowski, aged 40 and residing on Salerno Road in Southampton, appeared before the magistrates to answer charges related to his failure to adhere to a court-imposed obligation.
This obligation was part of a previous court order stemming from his 2020 conviction.
It is on record that Orlowski had previously admitted to establishing several online profiles on websites and apps, in violation of notification requirements designed to monitor and restrict his online activities as a registered sex offender.
Specifically, the court was informed that Orlowski had created a user profile on the popular dating app Plenty of Fish, under the username “PATSOTON123”.
Furthermore, on the messaging application Kik, he had registered as “PATKUAS82”.
The court further noted that he had also set up accounts on other dating platforms, such as BBW Cupid and Badoo, all of which are well-known for facilitating social and romantic interactions.
Orlowski’s legal history revealed that he was convicted in 2020 of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor through chat applications.
After initially pleading guilty to those charges, he was ordered by the court to register as a sex offender.
This registration requires him to inform police of any new online profiles or usernames he creates, as part of ongoing supervision and compliance measures.
However, in the current year, authorities discovered that Orlowski had once again breached the terms of his registration.
He was charged with five counts of failing to comply with the notification requirements.
During his court hearing, he admitted to these breaches and pleaded guilty to each charge.
Following this latest legal development, Orlowski was released on bail pending his sentencing hearing, which has been scheduled by the court for February 2 of the upcoming year.
In addition, a pre-sentence report has been requested by the court to assess his circumstances and guide the sentencing process.
This case highlights ongoing concerns regarding sex offenders and the importance of strict monitoring and compliance with legal obligations aimed at protecting the community from individuals with a history of sexual offenses.
