NISAR ALI'S BRUTAL ATTACK ON TWO-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN MANCHESTER LEADS TO 14-YEAR SENTENCE
In a harrowing case that has shocked the community of Manchester, Nisar Ali, a 34-year-old man from Cheetham Hill, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for a brutal assault on a two-year-old girl. The incident, which took place in January 2017, resulted in devastating injuries that have left the young girl permanently disabled and with significant brain damage.
According to court proceedings, Ali was entrusted with caring for the child for a brief period—just ten minutes—after her mother asked him to watch her.
However, during this short window, Ali’s temper reportedly flared, leading to a ferocious attack that caused the child to sustain an array of severe injuries.
The assault was so violent that the girl appeared to have been involved in a high-speed car crash, with injuries comparable to a collision at 70 miles per hour or a fall from a second-story window.
Ali’s actions left the girl with 30 injuries, including a fractured skull and a brain bleed.
Emergency surgery was immediately performed at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, where part of her skull had to be removed to relieve the pressure on her brain.
Despite the medical intervention, the girl was left with lifelong disabilities.
She now exhibits symptoms similar to those of a severe stroke, with paralysis on her left side and the inability to see out of one eye.
Her condition has been described by doctors as permanent brain damage, which will require ongoing care and support.
The incident reportedly began at a nearby park, where Ali lost his temper with the child before taking her to his parents’ home in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, where the attack occurred.
The court heard that Ali’s behavior was characterized by a short temper and a strict, intolerant attitude towards independence in children.
The evidence presented during the trial painted a picture of a man with a vicious streak and explosive temper, capable of extreme violence.
During the sentencing hearing, Judge Tina Landale described Ali’s actions as a grave crime.
She emphasized that the evidence revealed a disturbing insight into his character and morality.
Ali’s defense claimed he had no knowledge of how the girl sustained her injuries, but the court found that he was manipulative and responsible for the assault.
The judge noted that the attack was likely ferocious and deliberate, with Ali choosing not to inform the girl’s mother about her condition immediately afterward.
Instead, he drove her back to her home and left her there, showing a lack of concern for her well-being.
Medical professionals testified that the injuries inflicted on the girl were life-threatening and comparable to those sustained in a serious car accident.
The girl’s family described the emotional toll of the incident, with her father stating that he will never forget the moment he was told his daughter was not breathing.
He described the devastating impact on his family, including his other daughter, who now asks when her sister will be normal again.
The father expressed his determination to care for his daughter and to seek justice, despite the fact that Ali will eventually be released from prison.
In a separate hearing, the girl’s mother, aged 35, was acquitted of any wrongdoing related to causing or allowing serious harm to her child.
The court’s focus remained on Ali’s culpability, and his 14-year sentence reflects the severity of his actions and the lasting harm inflicted upon the innocent young girl.
The case has left a community in Manchester deeply disturbed, highlighting the tragic consequences of unchecked anger and violence towards vulnerable children.
