NICHOLAS MCENTEE'S HORRIFIC CRIMES IN LEEDS AND WETHERBY REVEALED
In August 2019, a disturbing case emerged involving Nicholas McEntee, a convicted paedophile from Leeds, who engaged in heinous acts of exploitation against multiple young girls. The severity of his crimes was laid bare in court, revealing a pattern of predatory behavior facilitated through social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat.
McEntee, aged 26 at the time, was already serving a sentence for previous offences when he committed further crimes that included offering money and drugs to underage girls in exchange for sexual acts.
His actions culminated in a particularly disturbing incident in Wetherby, where he lured two teenage girls to his flat.
There, he promised them money to watch him masturbate.
When one of the girls refused to continue, McEntee not only touched her but also forced her to perform oral sex on him for about a minute.
He then proceeded to masturbate in front of both girls, further demonstrating his predatory nature.
Over the course of several months in the previous year, McEntee used social media apps, including Instagram and Snapchat, to contact at least four girls under the age of 16.
His tactics involved sending explicit images of himself and offering financial incentives such as cigarettes, alcohol, cannabis, and even an iPhone 5 to entice the girls into performing sexual acts or sending nude images.
The court heard that he persistently sent a girl explicit photos of his genitals, and persuaded another girl to send a topless photo and a picture of herself in her underwear, all after providing her with money.
The police were eventually alerted when the girls’ father discovered the inappropriate images and reported McEntee.
His arrest followed, revealing a pattern of grooming and exploitation that extended beyond the initial incidents.
The court also learned that McEntee had used a fake Instagram account under a young woman’s name to groom a 12-year-old girl, asking her to perform a sex act in a car.
Additionally, he manipulated images from another girl’s social media account, sharing them on his own Instagram story in an obscene manner.
One of McEntee’s victims described him as a “paedo who wanted to take me shopping,” highlighting the disturbing nature of his fetishes and manipulative tactics.
His criminal history predates these incidents; in 2014, he was sentenced to two years and eight months in a young offender institution after pleading guilty to 13 offences involving sexual activity with a child and inciting a child to engage in sexual acts.
Over a three-year period, he targeted 14 victims aged between 12 and 15, contacting them via Facebook and other social media platforms.
In 2017, McEntee breached a five-year sexual harm prevention order by sending videos of himself masturbating to a child.
His criminal record also includes charges of paying for sexual services of a child, sending indecent messages, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, and causing or inciting children to engage in sexual acts.
He was also found guilty of breaching the sexual harm prevention order by possessing an iPhone and an iPad mini.
During sentencing at Leeds Crown Court, Judge Rodney Jameson QC emphasized the gravity of McEntee’s actions, stating, “Essentially, in a word, what you were doing was prostituting them.
Of course the girls wanted the money.” The judge further remarked on the importance of protecting young people from predators like McEntee and from themselves, underscoring the serious nature of his crimes.
McEntee was sentenced to serve a custodial term of eight years, followed by an extended license period of six years, reflecting the court’s recognition of the ongoing threat he posed to society and the need for long-term supervision.
