August 2019 Leeds paedophile ‘prostituted’ girls he met on Instagram and Snapchat with offers of money and drugs A re-offending paedophile who abused multiple girls after offering them money for sexual services has been given a 14-year extended sentence. Nicholas McEntee was on licence for similar offences when he told two teenage girls he would give them money to watch him masturbate in a flat in Wetherby. The 26-year-old then touched one of the schoolgirls and made her perform oral sex on him for about a minute before masturbating in front of both of them when she refused to continue. McEntee had met the girls on Instagram and also used the app and others, such as Snapchat, to contact four other girls under the age of 16 over the course of several months last year. Sentencing, Judge Rodney Jameson QC, told McEntee: “Essentially, in a word, what you were doing was prostituting them. “Of course the girls wanted the money.” He added: “Young people need to be protected from not only predators like you, but from themselves.” McEntee was told he must serve a custodial term of eight years, followed by an extended licence period of six years. Leeds Crown Court heard McEntee contacted two teenage sisters on Snapchat, sent them nude photos and images of himself and offered them money to send him nude photos and images in return. The court heard he offered one of the sisters cigarettes, alcohol, cannabis and an iPhone 5. Ian Brook, prosecuting, said: “He simply would not stop sending her photos of his penis.” McEntee persuaded one of the sisters to send him a topless photo and another one of the sisters a photo of herself in her underwear, after sending them money. But their dad contacted the police and McEntee was caught. The judge said: “Those children will never be free from the fear that those images may surface on social media at some point.” McEntee, of York Place, Wetherby, also used a fake Instagram account in a young woman’s name to groom a 12-year-old girl and ask her to perform a sex act on him in a car. He also took photos from another girl’s Instagram account and manipulated them in an obscene way, before sharing them on his Instagram story. One of his victims later told police: “Well, he was a paedo who wanted to take me shopping and it was a weird kind of fetish.” In 2014, he was sent to a young offender institution for two years and eight months after pleading guilty to 13 offences of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and two of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He had targeted 14 different victims, aged between 12 and 15, over a three-year period after contacting them on Facebook and other social media websites. In 2017, he breached a five-year sexual harm prevention order by sending videos of himself masturbating to a child. McEntee pleaded guilty to paying for the sexual services of a child, sending indecent messages, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, two counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, two counts of forcing a child to watch a sexual act and three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order in relation to possessing an iPhone and iPad mini.
