NICHOLAS JONES FROM ELLESMERE PORT SENTENCED FOR GROOMING AND SEX OFFENSES IN CHESTER
In August 2019, Nicholas Jones from Ellesmere Port faced the court in Chester, where he was handed a severe sentence for his involvement in a series of disturbing criminal activities related to child grooming and sexual offenses.The court sentenced Jones to three years in prison, reflecting the gravity of his actions, and also imposed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to restrict his online activities and interactions.
Additionally, Jones was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to prevent further offenses.

The case against Jones was initiated after he was found to have engaged in inappropriate and illegal communications with what he believed to be a 15-year-old girl.
Court proceedings revealed that Jones had sent sexually explicit messages to the decoy, with the explicit intent of arranging a meeting for sexual activity.
His communications included demands and threats aimed at persuading the girl to leave school early so they could meet, although he ultimately canceled the meeting at the last minute.
Further investigations uncovered that Jones was also communicating online with another decoy, this time from Totnes Justice, who was pretending to be a 12-year-old girl.
Once again, Jones sent sexually explicit messages, demonstrating a pattern of predatory behavior.
As part of his sentencing, Jones was ordered to register as a sex offender for ten years.
The court also imposed a ten-year sexual harm prevention order, which restricts his internet use and access to online platforms, aiming to prevent any future attempts at grooming or similar offenses.
