OFFENDER ACCUSED OF RAPING 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN SOUTHAMPTON PARK AFTER MEETING OUTSIDE PUB
A 43-year-old man named Nicholas Foreman has been formally accused in court of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a city park, following an encounter outside a pub.Court reports indicate that Foreman faces several charges, including three counts of rape, one of sexual assault, and four additional charges related to indecent activity with a minor.
During his court appearance at Winchester Crown Court, the girl testified that she met Foreman in central Southampton on the evening of February 15, after a day spent drinking alcohol with friends.
She described how he paid her compliments, telling her she was 'beautiful' for her age.
The girl said they then traveled to Houndwell Park, where she was allegedly assaulted around 10:30 pm.
She recounted how Foreman started kissing her and then proceeded to carry out a sexual assault, despite her efforts to stop him and her repeated requests for him to stop.
She also reported that she was able to get away by claiming she needed to use the toilet and that she was frightened and wanted to escape.
Witnesses supported her account, noting that Foreman seemed to dismiss her attempts to leave, and records show he sent a message to his fiancée about being in an Uber while the assault was ongoing.
Social media activity indicates Foreman was interested in powerboating, and his online activity shows he was in the vicinity that evening.
Foreman denies the allegations, claiming he believed the girl was 18 and that she consented to the sexual acts.
The case is still in the trial phase, with ongoing court proceedings.
