On Thursday, June 17, he was sentenced to three years in prison.
Emma Shipton, an investigation officer from Bedfordshire Police’s Internet Child Abuse Investigation Team, commented: “Child sexual abuse will not be tolerated in Bedfordshire, and we’re committed to tackling offenders to prevent them from causing further harm, as well as providing support and justice to victims.
I am pleased that Hussain has received a custodial sentence and that there were no victims involved on this occasion.
This case serves as a reminder of how predators use various online platforms such as social media, web chats, and forums to target victims.” She further urged parents and guardians to actively educate children on online safety: “Make sure they feel comfortable speaking about anything they see online that makes them uncomfortable.
This includes not talking to strangers, not sharing personal details, and keeping privacy settings high.”
