MICHAEL SMITH OF CHESTERFIELD SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING TWO 15-YEAR-OLD GIRLS

In March 2014, a man was sentenced to six years in prison after engaging in sexual activities with two girls, both aged 15. Michael Smith, a 24-year-old from Chesterfield, admitted to five counts of sexual activity with a child and two charges of common assault. Judge imposed a lifelong ban on any unsupervised contact or communication with females under 16, and he is also prohibited from having any contact with his victims.

The offenses took place over several months in 2013. Smith was arrested at his home on Arundel Close in October of the previous year. He pleaded guilty to all charges during a court session at Derby Crown Court on Wednesday, March 5.
