On Wednesday, March 8, emergency services responded to a distress call from a flat located off Wadsworth Street in Denaby Main. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Lewis Guest suffering from a stab wound to his chest. Despite immediate medical attention and his subsequent transfer to a nearby hospital, Lewis was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The scene was quickly secured, and forensic investigators began their work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the fatal injury.

During their investigation, police uncovered a knife concealed within the kitchen area of the flat. Forensic analysis confirmed that this weapon was directly linked to the wound inflicted on Lewis Guest, establishing a clear connection between the weapon and the fatal injury.
