July 2005 Man gets four years jail for child sex abuse An Aberdonian who sexually abused three children over a period of at least seven years was yesterday jailed for four years at the High Court in Edinburgh. Martin Horne, 57, was led to the cells claiming he was innocent. More than 30 years after the abuse, one of his victims described the sentence as “pathetic” but said his jailing meant she could finally get on with her life. Horne, of Mastrick Drive, was convicted after trial in May of three offences of lewd and libidinous behaviour against children, one of them Mrs Aitken, at various Aberdeen addresses. He was cleared of an allegation of rape. His name has been added to the sex offenders register.
