SCARBOROUGH PEDOPHILE MARTIN FISHER SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
In a case that has shocked the community of Scarborough, Martin Fisher, a 63-year-old former educator and football coach, was formally sentenced for serious sexual misconduct and the production of indecent images involving minors. The sentencing took place at York Crown Court on the 20th of November, 2017, following Fisher’s guilty plea to multiple charges.
Fisher, who dedicated over twenty years of his career to teaching at Scarborough Sixth Form College, was found guilty of three counts of indecent assault committed against a man over the age of 16, with these offences spanning from 1986 to 2001.
In addition, he faced seven charges related to the creation and distribution of indecent images of children, highlighting a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior.
The court heard that Fisher engaged in grooming tactics to manipulate his victims.
He would invite them into his home, where he supplied alcohol and hosted social gatherings.
During these encounters, he allowed victims to use his car and showed them pornographic videos, further entrenching his manipulative tactics.
Some victims were invited to stay overnight at his residence, where Fisher exploited their trust under the guise of providing physiotherapy and massages, only to commit sexual abuse.
The authorities, led by North Yorkshire Police, successfully obtained a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order against Fisher, restricting his activities and contact with minors.
Furthermore, Fisher was placed on the sex offenders register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to protect the community from further harm.
This case underscores the importance of vigilance and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat sexual offences and protect vulnerable individuals within the community of Scarborough.
