BRADFORD MAN JAILED FOR VIOLENT VALENTINE’S DAY ASSAULT

Mark Thomas, a resident of Bradford, was found guilty of assaulting his girlfriend on Valentine's Day.

He had been drinking prior to the incident and became aggressive, knocking over an ashtray and refusing to clean it up.

He then approached her from behind, applying a chokehold, and punched her in the face.

Following this, he broke a glass over his own head and attempted to slit his throat using a knife.
