A man was sentenced to 18 and a half years in prison after being found guilty of attempted rape at a park in Bradford.
Khairul Amin, 36 years old from Moor View Drive, was convicted of attempted sexual assault, intentional strangulation, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, contacted authorities around 9pm on 28 August, reporting that she had been assaulted, sexually attacked, and strangled by an unidentified man.
She sustained significant head injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.
On 1 May, during a court hearing at Bradford Crown Court, Amin received an extended sentence of 18.5 years.
He is required to serve 14.5 years in custody before being considered for parole, with the remainder on license.
