MARCEL WITKOWSKI AND SHOCKING CRIMES IN SOUTHAMPTON
A man from Southampton has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of serious criminal offenses, including the supply of cocaine and the possession of indecent images of children.Marcel Witkowski, aged 24, appeared before Southampton Crown Court to face multiple charges related to these heinous acts.
The court proceedings revealed that between July 31, 2021, and October 4, 2021, Witkowski was involved in creating and possessing several indecent images of minors.
Specifically, he was charged with making three indecent images classified as Category B, which indicates a certain level of explicit content involving children.
Additionally, he was found to have made two images classified as Category C, which are considered less severe but still illegal.
Most alarmingly, he was also charged with creating a Category A image, the most serious classification, denoting highly explicit material involving children.
These charges stem from files stored on his device, which the court confirmed he had created.
Witkowski did not contest these allegations and admitted to three counts of making indecent photographs of a child.
His admission underscores the severity of his actions and the evidence presented against him.
Beyond the charges related to child exploitation, Witkowski also faced accusations concerning drug offenses.
He admitted to supplying cocaine, a Class A drug, which is associated with significant legal penalties due to its high potential for harm and abuse.
Furthermore, he was found to possess cannabis, a Class B drug, adding to the list of illegal substances linked to his activities.
The court sentenced Witkowski to a prison term of two years and four months for his crimes.
In addition to his incarceration, he was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that will remain in effect for five years, restricting his activities and contact to prevent further harm.
He was also ordered to register as a sex offender, a legal requirement aimed at monitoring his activities and protecting the community.
As part of the sentencing, Witkowski was mandated to pay a victim surcharge, contributing to support services for victims of such crimes.
