LOUIS KALIZEWSKI, SOUTHAMPTON PUB CHEF, JAILED FOR POSSESSING INDECENT IMAGES OF CHILDREN
A pub chef in Southampton who was found in possession of indecent images of children has been sentenced to prison.Louis Joe Kalizewski, aged 23, has a prior conviction for raping a minor.
The court heard that he admitted to having a sexual interest in children.
Police executed a raid on his home on July 12 of the previous year, discovering him in bed.
When asked, Kalizewski handed over his electronic device.
An examination of the device revealed images of an indecent nature, including one categorized as A, three as B, and four as C.
During a police interview, Kalizewski claimed he had no idea how the images appeared on his computer, as stated by prosecution barrister Edward Warren.
He appeared before Southampton Crown Court on Monday to face three counts of possessing indecent photographs of children, with the offenses spanning from April 15, 2018, to July 12 of the previous year.
Kalizewski had already pleaded guilty to these charges.
It was also revealed that he was convicted at a youth court in 2015 for raping a boy under the age of 13.
Representing the defendant, solicitor Tom Horder said that Kalizewski, still relatively young, was caught with a small number of images and did not attempt to conceal them.
Horder added that his client hopes to receive help for his issues.
The judge, Peter Henry, condemned the images as particularly unpleasant.
He sentenced Kalizewski to eight months in prison and imposed a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
Additionally, Kalizewski will be subject to a ten-year notification requirement.
