SOUTHAMPTON MAN LEWIS BLORE 'OUT OF CONTROL' AFTER BREAK UP
A man who refused to take no for an answer climbed through his ex-girlfriend’s window and chased her down the road in his Audi.The persistent campaign of harassment by Lewis Blore, 25, left his victim fearing for her safety.
His “terrifying” actions followed the breakdown of their two-year relationship, where Blore “struggled to accept” it was over.
Judge Advocate John Atwill told an emotional Blore in the dock at Southampton Crown Court: “You were utterly out of control; you pursued a campaign against her which was aggressive and sinister.” However, the HGV technician avoided jail and walked free from court.
Prosecutor Helen Khullar told the court on Thursday that an argument broke out between Blore and his then partner, who alleged he had been unfaithful, in March 2024.
“The defendant picked up a toolbox and threw it at the victim which left her bruised”, Ms Khullar said.
She added: “He smashed the door of her wardrobe, and he threw the toolbox after she asked him to pick up the pieces of wood.
“The pair split up but the defendant drove past her flat daily and stay parked outside in his car for two to three hours.” Still not content, Blore continued to harass and stalk the woman.
Earlier this year he tried to access her flat through the back door, which led the woman to run outside her front door and to her car.
Ms Khullar said: “The defendant followed her in his Audi and drove at speed behind her to catch her up and drive alongside her.
She was screaming in the car as he did this.
The woman then drove into a side road and pulled over, followed by Blore.
He reached in her window and pulled the keys out of the ignition and threw them away.
Residents in the area came out to help the woman and tried to calm her down.
On another occasion, he climbed through the front window of her flat, before punching the woman in the stomach.
“Blore left and police arrived, and described the woman as being incredibly frightened, very frantic, and struggling to calm down”, Ms Khullar added.
In her victim impact statement, the woman said: “Had Lewis just taken responsibility for his actions at this time and got help for his anger management, I wouldn’t have to give evidence to the court.
“Every time I go out I worry he might be on my road or in his car following me.”
