KORBEN CROCKER FROM SWANSEA SENTENCED TO 3 YEARS FOR VIOLENT ATTACKS ON TWO VICTIMS IN SWANSEA AND MORRISTON

A man from Swansea, identified as Korben Crocker, has been handed a three-year prison sentence following his involvement in two separate violent assaults that took place within a six-month period. The incidents, which occurred in different locations within Swansea and Morriston, highlight a troubling pattern of aggressive behavior that has now resulted in significant legal consequences.

At Swansea Crown Court, Crocker, aged 23 and residing in Morriston, was convicted of assaulting two different individuals in unrelated incidents during 2024. Despite his insistence on denying the charges, the court found sufficient evidence to convict him on both counts, leading to the sentencing that will keep him behind bars for the foreseeable future.

The first assault took place in the early hours of Sunday, March 31, on Wind Street, a popular nightlife area in Swansea. Witnesses reported that Crocker, during a night out, approached a woman at a local bar and made unwelcome advances. When the woman's boyfriend intervened and asked Crocker to cease his behavior, Crocker responded with violence. He attacked the man, resulting in a broken jaw that necessitated hospital treatment, including surgery to insert metal plates to repair the injury.

The second incident involved Crocker attacking an ex-partner later in the year. The woman suffered visible injuries, including swollen eyes, swollen lips, and multiple cuts to her head. According to reports, Crocker fled the scene before authorities arrived, making it difficult for law enforcement to apprehend him immediately. The court heard detailed accounts of both assaults, which contributed to the severity of the sentence handed down.

During the sentencing, Sergeant Kelly Richards provided a stark commentary on Crocker’s behavior, stating: "Korben Crocker is a violent young man who is not only unable to control his anger, but also acts proudly about the injuries he causes to his victims as if they are some kind of honour to him. They are nothing to be proud about – they have resulted in him being sentenced to years in prison. Violent people like Korben have no place in society, and it is great to see that he will be locked up. I hope that both of his victims are pleased with the court outcome and will take comfort in the knowledge that Korben cannot do them any further harm."

The court’s decision has been widely welcomed as a positive step toward justice for the victims, ensuring that Crocker will be unable to inflict further harm while serving his sentence.
