March 2009 Pontarddulais man had child porn on computer A Pontarddulais man has appeared before a crown court judge to admit 20 offences of possessing and making child pornography. Alan Peter David Ross, aged 41, admitted possessing 30 category one images, 7 category 2, 8 category 3 and 2 category 4. He also admitted making indecent images of children. All the offences were said to have been committed on Christmas Eve 2007. Ross’ barrister, Francis Jones, said Ross accepted a custodial sentence would normally follow but he asked the court to consider other sentencing options. Judge John Diehl said he would sentence Ross in mid May after a probation officer had prepared a report into his background. Ross, of St Teilo’s Street, was granted bail until the sentencing hearing. He was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender.
