KEIRAN ALDERTON FROM ANFIELD CAUGHT IN CHILD SEX OFFENSES AT HUNTS CROSS AND LIVERPOOL

In June 2021, a disturbing case unfolded involving Keiran Alderton, a man from Anfield, who engaged in heinous activities aimed at exploiting a minor. The incident began when Alderton, under the username 'HornyScouser78', initiated online contact with what he believed was a 13-year-old girl through Kik Messenger. Unbeknownst to him, the profile was an undercover police operation designed to catch predators.

During the online exchanges, Alderton expressed his intentions in explicit terms, stating he was 'going to kiss the face off her' and suggesting that such kissing could escalate to more intimate acts. He also inquired about the girl’s preferences, asking if she 'liked older blokes,' and sent a photograph of himself wearing a red Liverpool t-shirt.

He claimed to be 30 years old, lamenting that she was not older, and requested a photo of her. Alderton received a picture of a girl, which he complimented, describing her as 'well fit with nice lips and eyes.' The conversation then moved toward a potential meeting, with Alderton suggesting they meet at a McDonald's restaurant on June 10, 2020, at 11 am.

In preparation for the meeting, Alderton was asked by the undercover officer to bring Kinder Eggs, which he agreed to do. He explicitly stated that he intended to kiss the girl and hinted that this could lead to further sexual activity.

On the day of the planned meeting, Alderton was arrested outside a B&M retail store at a retail park in Hunts Cross, where he had gone to purchase the Kinder Eggs for the girl. The arrest was the culmination of a covert operation aimed at preventing child exploitation.

Following his apprehension, police discovered a disturbing collection of child sexual abuse images on his iPhone. The images included 347 indecent photographs of children, among which 35 were classified as the most severe category, depicting children being raped. The youngest child featured in these images was only five years old.

During court proceedings at Liverpool Crown Court, Cheryl Mottram, the prosecutor, outlined the details of the case. She explained that the police had set up a decoy profile of a 13-year-old girl on Kik Messenger, which Alderton contacted on June 5. After being informed of her age, he asked for more details and inquired if she 'liked older blokes.' He also sent a photograph of himself and expressed regret that she was not older.

Further into the conversation, Alderton requested a photo of the girl, which he praised upon receiving. He then suggested they meet up, discussing the possibility of sharing a kiss, and explicitly asked her to bring Kinder Eggs for the meeting.

Judge Anil Murray sentenced Alderton to two years and two months in prison. The judge emphasized that Alderton's actions went beyond mere online chatting, as he traveled to meet what he believed was a child. The court also ordered him to sign the Sex Offenders Register for ten years and to comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the same duration.

Judge Murray highlighted the high risk Alderton posed to children, citing a pre-sentence report that described him as a 'high risk of serious harm' should he reoffend. The judge expressed concern over Alderton's sexual preoccupations and denial of his actions, underscoring the seriousness of his offending behavior.
