Kieron Boyd

Anfield Sexual Abuser

November 2015 Convicted paedophile jailed after beaking SOPO A paedophile caught surfing the internet despite a court order banning him from going online has been jailed for 12 months. Kieron Boyd, 31, was told not to use the web after swapping hundreds of images of young girls being sexually abused with other perverts on internet chatrooms. The dad-of-two, of Grange Street, Anfield , admitted exchanging indecent pictures of girls – including some as young as five – when he was originally sentenced in 2008 over the indecent images. Yet he was spared jail and handed a 12-month sentence, suspended for two years, after a judge said he had shown an “unusually” high level of insight into his offending. He was also given a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) which prevented him from using the internet. Liverpool Crown Court heard that police were called to his home in Anfield on April 30 this year, following an alleged assault on his girlfriend. When Boyd was arrested he was found to be in possession of a mobile phone and a laptop with access to the internet. Boyd, with a shaved head and wearing a white t-shirt in the dock – who has described his problems as an “addiction” – admitted two counts of breaching his SOPO. Claire Jones, defending, said her client admitted that he had been looking at pictures of girls, which while provocative, were not indecent. She urged Judge Anil Murray to impose a suspended sentence, so Boyd could access support for his problems. But the judge jailed Boyd and told him to sign the Sex Offender Register for 10 years
