2014: THUG JAILED AFTER ATTACKING HIS GIRLFRIEND WITH TWEEZERS
A 32-year-old man inflicted multiple injuries on his former girlfriend after assaulting her with tweezers.
Jordan Coghiel and Mandy Kaur had an argument while under the influence of alcohol at their residence in Wolfenden Terrace, Halliwell, on November 26 of the previous year.
During the confrontation, Coghiel assaulted her, causing injuries to her leg and scalp.
Bolton Crown Court was informed that he also delivered seven separate stab wounds during the incident, which was part of ongoing disagreements between the two.
Ms Kaur, who had consumed roughly two bottles of brandy that day, attempted to defend herself using some tweezers.
Coghiel, wielding a different set of tweezers, stabbed her in the leg and buttocks.
He pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and received a sentence of one year and nine months in prison, along with a £120 victim surcharge.
