JEFFREY TALL SENTENCED IN SOUTHAMPTON FOR OFFENSIVE IMAGE POSSESSION AND CHILD INDUCEMENT
Jeffrey Tall, of Aspen Close, Hedge End, appeared before Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday to face serious charges.
He admitted to attempting to cause or incite a female child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, as well as possessing indecent images of children.
Prosecutor Nick Hall disclosed that Tall was found in possession of 17 Category A images, 14 Category B images, and approximately 2,880 Category C images.
In his defense, barrister Berenice Mulvanny described Tall as being of good character, noting a previous conviction from 2011 unrelated to the current charges, and emphasized that Tall had not committed any further offenses since his arrest.
Tall expressed remorse, stating he lives every day regretting his actions and lamented that he had 'lost his daughter' due to his behavior.
Judge Gary Burrell QC condemned the collection of images as 'repulsive,' emphasizing that his offenses justified imprisonment.
Despite this, the judge acknowledged the potential for rehabilitation, suggesting Tall could lead a positive life.
As a result, Tall was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years.
He is required to complete a 60-day sexual offenders' rehabilitation program.
Additionally, he is subject to a two-year sexual harm prevention order and a four-month curfew from 7pm to 7am.
