STALKER JASON CALVER EMBARKED ON CAMPAIGN OF HARASSMENT
A man embarked on a three-month stalking campaign against a woman – even sending her parcels and repeatedly contacting her.
Jason Calver’s harassment started on June 22 and lasted throughout the summer until September 28.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on November 5, the court heard of his relentless harassment against the woman.
During that three-month period, Calver messaged and emailed the victim and even resorted to sending her parcels and posted about her online.
On another occasion, Calver, 52, was lying in wait for the woman outside of an address in Southampton.
Five weeks on since his campaign of harassment was stopped, he appeared in court to be sentenced.
Calver, of South Western House, Southampton, previously admitted a charge of stalking on October 14.
He was handed a 12-week sentence suspended for one year, with monthly reviews to be carried out by the probation service.
Calver is subject to a six month drug rehabilitation treatment and must complete up to 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
A one-year restraining order was imposed on Calver.
He was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £154 surcharge, to be paid in monthly installments.
