LONDON MAN JAILED FOR CARRYING OUT 46 SEX ATTACKS ON SLEEPING VICTIMS

A man named Jamie Rogers has been sentenced to 21 years in prison after pleading guilty to committing 12 counts of rape, 15 counts of assault by penetration, and 19 counts of sexual assault. His crimes involved carrying out multiple sex attacks on sleeping victims, fulfilling his 'depraved sexual fantasies'. The offences took place between January 2009 and July 2017 and involved seven victims. Rogers, aged 33 at the time of sentencing, was convicted at Kingston Crown Court and was branded a dangerous offender by the judge. He was sentenced to serve 21 years in prison with an extended licence of seven years and will be on the sex offenders register for life. The court heard that Rogers perpetrated these crimes while his victims were asleep, and police discovered evidence on his phone, including pictures and videos, which led to his arrest. His offences were revealed to the victims only after police investigations. Detective Inspector Simon Dowling stated that Rogers exploited these women to fulfill his own depraved fantasies, and many victims have been left traumatised by their experiences. Detective Constable Kevin Newton, who led the investigation, expressed relief that Rogers is now behind bars, preventing him from harming others, and thanked the victims for their support. The judge described Rogers as a dangerous offender and emphasized that he must serve two-thirds of his sentence before considering parole.
