February 2012 Child abuse images pervert avoids jail A 26 yr old former school worker who downloaded images of sex, rape and sadism of that involved children avoided jail because his case took three years to get to court. James Vincent Dean Brookes was found guilty in December of 31 counts of making indecent photographs of children, including 204 photos and 65 videos. The children were aged between 4 and 15 years old  He was sentenced to 260 hours of community service, put on the sex offenders register and banned from accessing the intenet for 5 years by the inferior number of the royal court The court which normally orders a jail sentence for crimes of this nature, decided that were excectional circumstances which allowed a non custodial sentence to be passed Among the images found on his laptop were six movie clips at level 5 – The most serious type of image on the copine scale – The images contained penetrative sex involving children with rape and or sadism The court heard the images were for his own personal gratification. The destruction of the laptop was ordered
