JACK STOTT : REOFFENDER BEHIND BARS
A 19-year-old man named Jack Stott, of Orion Close, Southampton, has been formally charged following an incident involving a 12-year-old girl in Southampton.Officers reported that Stott has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.
The first incident occurred on Wimpson Lane at 7:30 am on Tuesday, December 14, when the girl was approached and assaulted by a man unknown to her.
The second charge pertains to a separate incident on Shirley Road in Southampton, which took place on December 1, 2021.
Stott was remanded in custody and appeared before Southampton Magistrates' Court on December 18.
Both victims are currently receiving support from specialized officers to aid their recovery.
The police initially arrested Stott on suspicion of sexual assault following reports that a man had approached and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl on Wimpson Lane while she was walking with a friend.
Hampshire police issued a statement urging witnesses and anyone with relevant dash cam footage to come forward, stating: "We urge anyone who was in the area of Wimpson Lane or Romsey Road between 7:20 am and 7:40 am on Tuesday morning to get in touch with us.
Today, as part of our enquiries, we have arrested a 19-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of sexual assault.
He remains in police custody at this time.

The suspect has been described as a white male with a stocky build and below-average height.
Witnesses reported he was wearing an orange high-visibility jacket, dark blue work trousers, and boots.
He was seen on foot, walking from Romsey Road into Wimpson Lane, and then back from Wimpson Lane into Romsey Road during the time window of 7:20 am to 7:40 am.
The 12-year-old victim is being supported by officers, while her 13-year-old friend, who acted quickly by calling police, was also present during the incident.
Authorities have conducted thorough searches of the area, including house-to-house inquiries and reviews of CCTV footage.
Schools in the vicinity have been notified of the incident.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Wiseman emphasized the importance of public cooperation, saying: “This is a very worrying incident and our absolute priority is to identify this man.
While we have increased patrols and are conducting inquiries, we want to ask anyone who was in Wimpson Lane yesterday morning around this time and saw a man matching this description to contact us.
We are particularly interested in dash cam footage from anyone driving along Wimpson Lane during that period, as it may help us identify this individual.
Anyone with information must contact us as soon as possible.

Jack Stott carried out the twisted attack on her at an address in the Swaythling area of the city in December last year.
A court heard the 23-year-old, of Orion Close, Southampton, had repeatedly ignored the woman's pleas for him to stop as he forced himself upon her.
In an exchange of messages after the incident, Stott admitted to the attack when confronted about it, telling her he didn't know why he had done it.
Appearing at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday (9 December), he was jailed for eight years after pleading guilty to rape.
In addition to the time he will now spend behind bars, the judge also ordered Stott be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting 15 years, must remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life, and serve an extended four years on licence following his release from prison.
As he was taken away to begin his prison sentence, Stott showed his true colours, as he directed threats towards his victim in the court room.
