HUDDERSFIELD MAN GREGORY CLARKE PLACED ON SEX OFFENDERS' REGISTER AFTER ASSAULT
Singer-songwriter Gregory Clarke was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register after being found guilty of groping the woman and making sexually suggestive comments.
He entered the Huddersfield store at 11.30am, initially inquiring about treatment, but then moved towards the manager and made advances that were non-consensual.
Clarke pulled her towards him, fondled her breasts, and made threatening remarks about her boyfriend.
He also carried a locking knife, which he claimed was used to kill cockroaches.
He denied the sexual assault, claiming he was just inviting her to a stage show, but the court rejected these claims.
Clarke was sentenced at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court to a community order for three years, including attending a sexual offenders’ treatment programme, and was given a restraining order not to contact the victim or witness for three years.
