GORDON LAXTON SENTENCED IN [CITY] FOR MULTIPLE SEXUAL OFFENCES

Gordon Laxton pleaded guilty to six counts of indecent assault.

Four of these counts pertain to offences committed between 1980 and 1985 against his cousin, who was between 7 and 11 years old at the time.

The indictment specified that she was a girl under the age of 13, which was relevant to the maximum penalty applicable.

The remaining two counts involved offences carried out from 1988 to 1994 against his niece, who was aged between 7 and 12 years old during those incidents.
