GERARD KENDRICK FROM LIVERPOOL JAILED FOR 18 YEARS FOR HORRIFIC CHILD ABUSE AND NAPPY FETISH
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Liverpool, Gerard Kendrick, a man with a deeply disturbing history of child sexual abuse, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, with an additional six years on licence, for a series of heinous crimes spanning over two decades.Kendrick, now 32 years old, was found guilty of raping and molesting six children, some as young as six years old, beginning when he himself was only 10 years old.
His crimes involved forcing young victims to wear nappies during the assaults, a twisted fetish that he acted upon repeatedly.
The full extent of his depravity only emerged last year when police uncovered a cache of indecent images linked to him, which included photographs of Kendrick raping a young boy while the child was dressed in a nappy.
The investigation was sparked when authorities in Blackburn seized indecent images from a known sex offender.
Using advanced GPS technology, officers traced the images back to Kendrick’s residence in Vauxhall, Liverpool.
The police discovered that some of the photographs had been taken at Kendrick’s home, located near Stanley Dock, and included images of him engaging in sexual acts with a young boy in 2017 and 2018.
Upon his arrest, Kendrick’s Facebook account was examined, leading police to contact a couple whose child had been abused and photographed.
The couple confirmed that the child in the images was theirs and recognized Kendrick’s bathroom in one of the pictures.
This evidence prompted a raid on Kendrick’s house, where he arrived unexpectedly during the search.
During questioning, Kendrick claimed that he had taken only a few photos of a child in a nappy and insisted he did not realize it was wrong.
He also alleged that his computer had been hacked and that he had wiped it clean.
However, the evidence told a different story.
Investigators recovered a staggering 3,416 indecent images from Kendrick’s computer, including 668 images classified as Category A, the most serious category of child abuse material.
The images revealed a disturbing pattern of distribution, with Kendrick allegedly sharing or sending these images to others, including Trevor Howard, a convicted paedophile from Blackburn, via third-party sharing sites.
The police also uncovered that Kendrick’s crimes extended back to the 1990s and early 2000s, with five other victims, now adults, coming forward to describe their traumatic experiences.
These victims, aged between six and 12 at the time of abuse, recounted violent and degrading assaults.
One boy described how Kendrick had been physically violent, dragging him around and throwing him against a bed before raping him.
A girl detailed how Kendrick had pushed her onto a bed, held her arms, covered her mouth, and repeatedly attempted to rape her, while also hitting and threatening her.
Further accounts revealed that Kendrick would sometimes force victims to wear nappies and walk around the room, indulging his fetish.
One girl told police that Kendrick had asked her to play a game called “being the baby,” which involved lying on a bed, undressing, and being abused.
Another girl was assaulted while a boy was made to face the wall, with Kendrick abusing the girl in his presence.
Throughout the trial, Kendrick admitted to 16 sexual offences, including rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, indecent assault, and the making and distribution of indecent images of children.
Victims and their supporters in the courtroom were visibly distressed, with some crying as details of the abuse were read out.
One man, visibly upset, left the courtroom during the proceedings.
Judge Robert Warnock condemned Kendrick’s actions, describing his crimes as a “disgraceful catalogue of sexual offending.” He emphasized that Kendrick had stolen the innocence of his victims and caused lasting harm to their adult lives.
The judge pointed out that Kendrick’s interest in a nappy fetish was a significant factor in the case, with many of the images involving children in nappies, which he shared with others, including Trevor Howard.
Psychologists who examined Kendrick noted that he claimed to be a victim of sexual abuse himself, but they found him unwilling or unable to confront the reality of his own actions.
A probation officer concluded that Kendrick had little insight into his crimes and posed a high risk of reoffending.
The judge expressed skepticism about the sincerity of Kendrick’s remorse and ordered that he be registered as a sex offender for life.
The extended sentence ensures Kendrick will serve at least two-thirds of his prison term, approximately 12 years, before being eligible for parole.
He will remain on licence until the age of 56, with the possibility of early release only if deemed safe by a parole board.
