GARY FRAPE ARRESTED IN EASTBOURNE ON CHILD OFFENCES CHARGES
A 56-year-old man named Gary Frape has been taken into custody and charged following an attempt to meet a young girl for sexual abuse.
Police responded to reports from the public on Pevensey Bay Road, Eastbourne, around 9pm on Friday, October 8.
Upon arrival, officers arrested Frape, who resides at Honeycrag Court, Polegate.
He faces multiple charges, including trying to meet a girl under the age of 16 after grooming her, attempting to cause or incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and arranging a child sex offence.
Frape appeared before Brighton Magistrates Court on Monday, October 11, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempting to cause or incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
He did not enter a plea on the other charges.
Frape has been remanded in custody and will remain there until his trial at the Crown Court, with the date to be confirmed.
