DUNCAN BULLIVANT FROM CROYDON JAILED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY INVOLVING SOHAM VICTIMS

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Croydon, Duncan Bullivant, aged 39, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after being found guilty of producing and possessing child pornography that included images of the tragic Soham schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman. The court heard that Bullivant, a former employee of John Lewis, had created a sickening magazine featuring stories and photographs of the murdered children, which he used to satisfy his own sexual fantasies.

According to the prosecution, Peter Zinner, the court was informed that Bullivant had amassed an extensive collection of nearly 17,000 images and videos depicting child abuse. These materials included photographs of children at various tourist attractions, with one particularly disturbing image showing a young girl riding a carousel, captured secretly by Bullivant. The court revealed that he had spent considerable time at central London tourist sites, secretly photographing children, which demonstrated a pattern of predatory behavior.

Bullivant’s collection was described as highly disturbing, containing 16,903 images and videos, with approximately 12,000 different victims. Among these were 65 sadomasochistic photographs depicting children being tortured and 660 images of children being raped by adults. The court also noted that he had written explicit stories involving at least three deceased children, including Jessica and Holly from the Soham murders. These stories included disturbing annotations, with one comment indicating that some men would be sexually aroused by Holly Wells.

Security personnel who observed Bullivant during his visits to tourist spots eventually intervened after watching him spend about half an hour targeting children. They discovered he was carrying a camera filled with images of boys and girls as young as seven years old. His behavior was deemed highly dangerous, and he was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple offenses.

During the trial, Bullivant admitted to 26 counts of making and possessing indecent photographs of children, with offenses spanning from June 10, 2003, to June 11 of this year. The court described him as a “dangerous offender” and ordered him to register as a sex offender for the next ten years. Additionally, he was prohibited from having any unsupervised contact with children for a period of seven years, reflecting the severity of his crimes and the threat he posed to the community of Croydon and beyond.
