January 2017 Paedophile sentenced for abusing young girl A paedophile has been jailed after a jury found him guilty of several sexual offences against a young girl At his trial on the 9th January, 2017, at Winchester Crown Court, 68-year-old Daniel D Kimberly of South Ockendon was found guilty of three counts of indecent assault against a child Former carpenter Kimberly denied nine charges in total during a five day trial which included: Gross indecency with a child under 16 Gross indecency with a child under 14 Two counts of indecent assault against a child under 16 Four counts of indecent assault against a child under 14 Inciting a female child under 14 to commit an act of gross indecency The jury finally found him guilty of: Three offences of indecent assault against a child under 14 The court heard that the female victims was just 11-years-old when the abuse began The judge sentenced Kimberly to eight years of which he must serve at least four in prison Kimberly was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life
