July 2017 South Ockendon man sentenced over possession of child abuse images A pervert, who admitted being found with images of young children being sexually abused, has been put on the Sex Offenders Register for 5-years. Andrew Woods, 59, was also given a three-year community order, ordered to complete 60-days of rehabilitation and was made the subject of a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order when he was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court. He was sentenced after pleading guilty to three offences of making indecent images of children. The court heard how officers, acting on intelligence, executed a warrant at the home of Woods in Tamar Drive, South Ockendon on December 1 last year. Officers seized various computer equipment, including laptops and computer towers, which were found to contain indecent images of children.
