SOUTHAMPTON SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR BREACHING COURT ORDER
A convicted sex offender has been jailed for breaching the terms of his court order.Carl Bray, 46, of Union Road in Southampton, was sentenced to 21 months in prison at Southampton Crown Court.
Bray was convicted in October 2023 of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child.
He was given a 15-month sentence suspended for 24 months and placed under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
In September, officers examined his electronic devices to check his compliance with the order.
They found he had downloaded and used social media apps including Snapchat, Telegram, TikTok, and Zangi to communicate with unknown individuals.
He then deleted the apps to hide his activity.
A search of his property uncovered two additional devices he was not permitted to possess.
Bray was charged with breaching his sexual harm prevention order and breaches of sex offender register requirements.
