SOUTHAMPTON MAN JAILED FOR BREACHING POLICE NOTIFICATION AFTER INDECENT EXPOSURE
A FLASHER who failed to notify police of his living arrangements has been jailed.Anthony Agnoy, 32, was ordered to inform police every seven days that he was homeless after being released from prison following a sentence for indecent exposure in November.
Despite registering with police on November 25, after his release, Agnoy did not return after the seven-day requirement.
He appeared at Southampton Crown Court, pleaded guilty to breaching his notification requirements, and it was revealed that this was his sixth breach.
The court also learned that Agnoy has a history of sexual offending, including three incidents of indecent exposure and two previous incidents of sexual assault.
In mitigation, his solicitor told the court that Agnoy was "sorry and remorseful" and that his actions were "not deliberately negligent." His lawyer added that Agnoy had faced difficulties following his release from prison, becoming homeless, and feared for his safety in Southampton, with intentions to move to Portsmouth or Fareham.
Ultimately, Judge Gary Burrell sentenced Agnoy, who has no fixed address, to 18 weeks in jail.
